LOCATION OF LAB-BASED PRINTERS:

https://helpdesk.cad.rit.edu/kb/articles/computer-lab-status

You can find where the black and white laser printers are located at the link above. CAD offers black and white toner-based printing for students for free as long as it isn’t abused (only print what you actually need, don’t print out entire textbooks!!)

Most open computer labs also have a print queue named GAN1263_9050BW_HoldQueue that will send prints to the CAD Helpdesk, located in 7B-1263. This gives you an option if the lab you are working in doesn’t have a printer, or if there is a problem with the printer and you are in a bind. This printer is accessible during open Helpdesk hours.

COLOR PRINTING

Due to the cost of supplies, color printing is more managed than the free black and white toner-based printers that we have in a number of our labs.

COLOR INKJET

The K-Labs – 7B-4060 and 4090 – offer sit down ink jet printing for pay. Students must bring their own paper. Payment is handled through PaperCut (students can learn more about setting up a PaperCut account here.)

ISL - IMAGING SYSTEMS LAB

Available on the third floor of Gannett in room 3090, ISL offers walkup and drop off digital inkjet and laser printing

You can learn all about their options via this brochure.

HUB Express

Geared to student needs, the HUB Express has the capacity to print high quality digital color. Located in Monroe Hall, the HUB Express is your walk up printing option.
