Projection using the the Extron Display Switcher in BOO-1560


Before switching any of the below, make sure that that projector is powered on. There is one remotes with the Switcher by the teacher's station.

MIRRORING FROM THE BOXX (Teacher Station)

1. The BOXX is ALREADY plugged in to Input 1 on the EXTRON. DO NOT USE/SWITCH ANY OTHER CABLE.

2. On the Extron, do the following:

   1. Press Preset.

   2. Press 1 in the Input section.

   3. Press Enter.

NOTE: If switching between input sources 1 and 2, there will be brief delay while it switches signals.

MIRRORING WITH YOUR LAPTOP

1. Plug in the loose HDMI cable into your laptop. (it is plugged into port 2 on the Extron). DO NOT USE ANY OTHER CABLE.

2. ON the Extron, do the following:

   1. Press Preset

   2. Press 2 in the Input section

   3. Press Enter

NOTE: If switching between input sources 1 and 2, there will be brief delay while it switches signals.

AUDIO

Right now, audio is controlled by the two small speakers on the Teacher Station. We will be installing better speakers into the room over the semester break.

You can control audio from the BOXX or your laptop by selecting Extron HDMI (NVIDIA HIgh Definition Audio) as your sound output in your Sound Settings (PC or Mac).

Volume is then controlled by both your application (ex: Youtube) and via the TV remotes. Other sound controls on your computer/laptop will not be active.


TROUBLESHOOTING

• Pressed the wrong button on the remote and it’s not displaying my screen

- If you’ve changed the input accidentally with one of the remotes:

1. Press the button that has a house on it.

2. At the bottom of the TV screen, select PC HDMI as the input.
