Troubleshooting an Apple laptop display that is flickering or frequently going black.

If you encounter a problem where your Apple laptop screen flickers or blacks out frequently, please follow these steps in order to resolve the issue.

A. Make Sure Your OS is Up to Date:

Action: Check for and install any available updates for macOS.

Steps: Click on the Apple menu () in the top-left corner of your screen.

1. Select System Preferences or System Settings, depending on your macOS version.

2. Click on Software Update.

3. If an update is available, follow the on-screen instructions to download and install it.

4. Reboot: Restart your Mac after the update is complete to see if the issue persists.


B. Adjust Your Display Settings:

Action: Modify display settings to prevent automatic adjustments that may cause flickering.

Steps:

1. Open System Preferences or System Settings.

2. Go to Displays.

3. Turn off the following options:

Automatically adjust brightness

True Tone

4. Reboot: Restart your Mac to ensure the new settings take effect.
