How to request a Nuke student license for academic use

CAD has a limited number of student licenses for Nuke for enrolled students. This home-use key expires yearly and will need to be renewed each year. Priority is given to students actively taking classes involving Nuke and other Foundry software, but made available for other CAD students after that.

”The Student License program is an opportunity for students to experiment with Foundry products with the Education Collective (Nuke, NukeX, Nuke Studio, Mari, Modo, and Katana bundle). The program allows eligible students to obtain a license from their school (home-use code), or at our discounted rate.”


To request a license:

1. Please file a CAD Helpdesk ticket to the CADTech department as follows:

  • Subject: REQUESTING NUKE HOME-USE KEY

  • Please include your name and your program.

    We will confirm your eligibility status and then provide a key through your ticket.
    Please do not distribute this key.


2) Once you are provided the home-use key, please follow the directions below:
