Use these steps to "update" the serial number used to a non-expiring number. In this case, we are fixing Maya 2017.
Step-by-step guide
Launch Maya and continue past prompts to get into the software
Now, click on the "Sign In" button and choose Managed License
In the next dialog, click the arrow next to the Enterprise license to see the details of the license
Now, click on Update License to change the serial number to the new correct one
Enter new serial number and click Activate
License should now be updated and Autodesk will no longer ask for activation on launch.
