Many classrooms and mobile displays are outfitted with AppleTVs for easier wireless connection. Here are directions for you to connect your laptop, iPhone, iPad, or other Airplay-enabled device.
TO MIRROR YOUR DISPLAY TO A CONNECTED APPLE TV
Turn on the TV with the remote.
Make sure TV input is set to HDMI 2.*
Connect your device:
– On your Mac, click in the Control Center icon (top right of your menu bar), then select Screen Mirroring
– On your iOS device, swipe down from the top-right side to get the Control Center and tap on Screen Mirroring.
Select your room and tap on the name. (CAD AppleTVs are named with the classroom number)
A 4-digit code will appear on the TV. Enter this Airplay Code on your device and tap OK.
NOTE: There will be a slight delay as your device syncs with the TV!! Please give it a moment to sync up!Your Apple or iOS device is now mirrored to the TV.
Note 1: HDMI input for AppleTVS MAY vary on a classroom by classroom basis, but our default is set on HDMI 2.
Note 2: AppleTVs will display connection instructions on the TV itself that can also be followed!
TO STOP MIRRORING
To stop mirroring your Laptop, iOS or iPadOS device, open Control Center, tap Screen Mirroring, then tap Stop Mirroring.
