CADTech hosts many websites and offers Faculty/Staff and Students websites for academic use. All of these requested websites end up at http://acountUserName.cad.rit.edu

Features of our hosted environment

• No quotas (within reason!)

To access your webspace, you can connect to cad.rit.edu with your favorite SFTP client using your RIT computer account, or the username and password provided to you (if you have requested a group web account).

Every account also has a similarly named MySQL database created using the same username and password. Please take note when prompted for a MySQL server in your projects, you should point to cad.rit.edu and not localhost!

Personal Web Accounts
Students, faculty, and staff can request their own personal space at http://request.cad.rit.edu

Group Web Accounts
Group accounts can be requested at http://request.cad.rit.edu

Department Web Accounts
